Day 15 Thursday 20.11.2008 Position: S 73° 32.57' W 009° 43.1' Distance: 21 km Elevation: 1350m Yippeee!! It's almost like Christmas! After 15 days of only white with absolutely no features of any kind (except sastrugis...) in all directions we finally spotted the Kottas Mountains! Ok, we are still 4 days of manhauling away from the base of the range but we are elated about this sight! It's like eye candy and we know the picture is not the greatest but we wanted to share our joyous distant image with you. The forcasted strong storm from the southwest did not appear and we had a gorgeous day to walk hard - and we are pleased with our progress for the day.
