Day 10 Saturday, 15.11.2008 Position: S72°13,1' W008°54,1' Distance: 18km Elevation: 850m After another cold night, manhauling felt like tire pulling on concrete for the first three hours as it was too cold for the snow to create the desired gliding effect for the sled edges. At 2pm the temperature was still only -17°C. Nevertheless we were both in great spirits all day and seem to finally arrived here fully. The whole day felt like a beautiful flow emotionally and physically. When we stopped for the day, 3 of our altitude measuring devices, which are based on barometric pressure, indicated we were at 1250m. However the map and one GPS based altimeter showed around 850m altitude. The radical drop in pressure means significant weather changes are imminent and dare we say maybe kiting conditions may finally be on their way... ;) In the meantime Armin and I are exchanging funny stories from long past school classes, excursions, camps, etc. which however cannot be reproduced in this blog for a variety of reasons.... :)  15 Nov, 08 - 20:16 | Dispatch library Aloha Antarctica – Never again?
