Day 5 Monday, 10.11.2008 Position: S71°34,4'' W008°22,7' Distance: 21km The storm system moved through last night and we awoke to another crisp (-20) and gorgeous antarctic morning. With very light southerly winds, it meant another full day of manhauling. With the weight of the sled and the sastrugis we did as good as we can. Part of us loves the sastrugis because they simply are and demand being present and in the here and now. Another part hates them since there is no way one can develop a rhythm, like with jogging, cycling, etc. Obviously our focus and challenge is to nurture and with discipline extend the periods of being fully in the here and now. Camplife is getting more and more organized. However every time one gets out of the tent, one is completely disoriented because the shelfice is the same and featureless in all directions.
